The Beauty of Endurance

Many believers step into their walk with Christ believing that faith automatically removes all pain. We hear phrases like:

“Jesus is life.”

“Jesus takes away all our pain.”

“There is no more suffering when you serve Jesus.

And while Jesus is the source of our healing, hope, and wholeness, following Him does not exempt us from the realities of life. Many new believers assume that choosing Christ means choosing a pain free path, so when hardship shows up, we become shaken. As women, we often feel confused or even ashamed when doubt, fear, or prayer fatigue hits us after salvation. Trust me, I have been there too.

Most of us come to Christ for a few reasons:

We are weighed down by the burden of sin

We are convicted and desire to change

We are overwhelmed by the love of God

Which one was true for you.

Many of us relate deeply to the first one. Sin exhausts us. It drains, distracts, and wounds us in ways we do not always recognize. So when we run to Jesus, we hope He will wash away not only the guilt but also the pain of everything we have endured.

And He does, but not always in the way or timing we imagine.

The truth is this. Even as daughters of God, we still experience disappointment, loss, grief, and challenges in life. And it can feel discouraging to realize that salvation does not shield us from every storm.

I have walked with God since I was sixteen, and I had no idea the trials that would shape my journey. I lost a parent suddenly. I faced sickness. I lost jobs. I lost friendships. I walked through seasons of uncertainty and pain, all while loving Jesus. So why does God allow these moments? How did I make it through them? What kept me standing?

Here is what I have learned.

God uses hardship to shape us, not destroy us.

Sometimes we are headed in a direction that is not His best, so He allows pressure to realign us. Other times, life is going well, and without realizing it, we grow comfortable. Our prayers slow down, our focus scatters, and our hunger for God softens. But God is a master Father who knows how to turn pain into power. He transforms heartbreak into healing, weakness into strength, and trials into testimony.

Paul said it clearly in Romans 8:28:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Peter confirmed it too:

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

When my life tightened and stretched, it pushed me into God’s presence. I prayed harder. I worshipped even when I did not feel strong. I clung to His promises when nothing around me looked promising. I endured because I believed Him even when I could not see what He was doing. And because I did not give in to fear or discouragement, I watched Him fulfill His word in my life.

But hear me clearly. The Christian life is not misery. I am not telling you that pain is all you will ever know. Pain is part of being human, saved or not. But the difference is this:

When you walk with Jesus, pain has purpose, and purpose always produces fruit.

There is a beauty in serving God that keeps pulling you closer. There is a peace that makes you run back to Him. There is a strength in His presence that renews you again and again. If you do not believe it, try Him and see.

My heart is to help women experience that same strength and endurance. God is faithful. He will not allow anything to overtake you. He provides a way of escape with every temptation and a path of victory with every trial.

So buckle your seatbelt. Life is a ride.

But when God is with you, fear loses its power.

His presence settles you.

His love steadies you.

And His grace will carry you through every season.

Endure as a good soldier.

You are His daughter, and you will overcome.]
